I was born in the city of Bergen in 1980, but soon moved to Harstad with my parents where I grew up. I have since completed general highschool, one year of military service in Bergen, and several years of studies.
I am know a Bachelor of Engineering in IT from the Sør-Trøndelag University College, with a year of study abroad at QUT in Australia, and a Master of Science degree in Telematics from the Norwegian University of Technology and Science.
My interests of choice are partying, snowboarding, scuba-diving, internet-stuff, reading books and comics, watching movies, and travelling the world!
I really want to put up a large world map on my wall, pinning out the places I've been. Hopefully I'll get around to it someday. It will be quite a lot of pins as my travels so far have brought me to most of western Europe, both coasts of the United States, some parts of northern Africa and most recently Singapore, New Zealand and Australia! Next on my list is seeing more of South-East Asia, as well as Antartica and South-America. Hope it'll be soon :)
I consider myself to be a kind and helpful person, but I'm sure I got my flaws just like everybody else. I'm currently living with a Norwegian girl, Benedicte, at Cathedral Place in Fortitude Valley, but I spend lots of time at Toowong where my girlfriend Carina lives!
My motto is: Don't worry, in the end everything tends to turn out fine.
The Nick
When playing online games or chatting I prefer the nick Telcontar.
It is the sindarin elvish name of Arargorn, son of Arathorn, aka Elessar, heir to the throne of Gondor. It is taken from the fictional works of J.R.R Tolkien, of which best known is the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I chose it in 1995 when I first got internetconnectivity at home and IRC created the need for a permanent nickname, and I was as far as I know the first person to make use of this nickname online.
